Plan

So this is a plan that Alice created for Group 1 before we started editing. It shows which shots we need to put where, and what order they go in....organised !

Sound

For our sound in our film, we're using different songs and editing them so they're quite choppy and putting them all together, to represent her listening to different songs on different days. So here are some ideas of songs that Athena has blogged about :
 1. Charlie Simpson - Sundown
 2. Klaxons - Golden Skans
 3. Grimes - Oblivion
 4. Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
 5. Joy Division - Disorder
 6. Temper Trap - Love Lost
7. Alt-J - Interlude 3 & Dissolve Me
 8. Passion - Little Secrets
 9. Kings Of Leon - Closer
 10. (Music towards the end) Florence + The Machine - Seven Devils/ Instrumental?
 11. (Overhead shot - beginning and then getting onto the train) Foals - Blue Blood/ Instrumental?
 12. (Slow motion shot) Foals - Spanish Sahara
 13. (Lift closing at the end, fade into black) Foals - Fuge
 14. (Getting on the train) New Order - Ceremony / Beginning of track

Found A Lift

After having trouble finding a lift for some shots in our intro, we can finally say we have found one ! Its in the car park of the cinema and Alice checked it out and we got the approval of it, so we can now go and shoot the film without having to be pestered by security (fingers crossed)... and above is a lovely picture of the lift that we will be using.

Having trouble finding a lift

It is clear that everywhere our group goes to find a lift, we aren't allowed there. We managed to go out and go in search for a lift, and try and get some practice shots, so our group and Josh went to a lift in town. We really liked the lift and how the shot looked until we were told by security that we were not allowed to film there...which meant we couldn't use that lift. Group 1 then went back to school to look at the lift there, but the doors only closed from one side. We want a lift that closes from either side and not just one as it will be the final shot in the intro, and it will be when the title for the film will be presented. Luckily our friend was with us at the time and her Dad is a Police Officer, and we may be able to film in town without having to pay a permit !(fingers crossed).

Over head shot test run

This is the over head shot from Inglourious Basterds that me, Alice and Athena were quite impressed with. Yesterday we managed to have a go at attempting the shot, and surprisingly it went quite well (apart from security people asking us what we were doing.....). Alice and I stood on a bridge with the flip camera attached to the tripod, and filmed Athena walking across the road below. The only difficulty was keeping the camera on Athena as we had difficulty actually seeing her. But this was only a test run, and next time we think we will zoom in more to Athena......lets just hope we keep clear of the security people.

Casino Royale Introduction

This is probably one of my favourite introductions to any film. Even though it would probably be almost impossible for our group to do (seen as we don't have any animation skills), the music, colours and patterns make this intro very unique. I also think this introduction stands out as it is very different to any other James Bond introduction that has been made. The idea of the silhouettes in the introduction has stayed throughout the films, however with the use of various patterns and colour, it makes the intro stand out from the rest of the films. I also love the contrast of colours, from the start of the introduction where it is black and white and the famous 'James Bond gun' shot takes place, to the rest of the introduction and how colourful it is, it manages to make the introduction look that much more interesting.

Inspiration

After watching Inglourious Basterds, Athena and I were given an idea of a certain shot that was used in the film. It is an overhead shot, and we thought it looked great, so we may attempt to create our own overhead shot, and we thought we'd just do a quick vlog about it.
